Description
A simple Butterball Turkey Breast Roast Crock Pot recipe that produces moist and tender turkey using a slow cooker method. Ideal for holidays or easy family meals.
Ingredients
1 Butterball turkey breast roast, 3 to 9 pounds, thawed
1 tablespoon olive oil or nonstick spray
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup broth, wine, or water
Instructions
1. Pat turkey dry and leave netting on if boneless
2. Brush with oil and season evenly with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, and paprika
3. Place skin side up in slow cooker and pour 1/2 cup liquid around the bottom
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours
5. Continue cooking 1 to 2 more hours until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit
6. Remove, tent with foil, and rest 15 minutes before slicing
Notes
Always thaw completely before cooking
Use cooking juices to prepare gravy
Add vegetables under turkey for additional flavor
