Description

A quick and delicious stir fry made with ground beef, cabbage, and a savory sauce. Perfect for weeknights or low-carb meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)

1/2 medium head green cabbage, sliced thin

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 green onions, sliced (white and green parts separated)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (or hoisin for vegetarian)

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 tablespoon neutral cooking oil

Optional: red pepper flakes or chili crisp

Optional garnish: sesame seeds and green onion tops

Instructions

1. Prepare all ingredients and mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and vinegar.

2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Brown the beef and drain excess grease.

3. Add garlic, ginger, and white onion parts. Cook briefly until aromatic.

4. Stir in cabbage. Cook 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp.

5. Pour in sauce. Mix well and cook for 1–2 minutes.

6. Finish with sesame oil and garnish before serving.

Notes

Use tamari and hoisin to make this gluten-free and vegetarian.

Add water or broth for a saucier stir fry.

Coleslaw mix is a quick substitute for shredded cabbage.
