Description
A comforting pasta dish made with seared chicken, crispy bacon, and a rich cream cheese parmesan sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) package spaghetti
5 slices thick cut bacon
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into 1-inch cubes)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese (cut into cubes)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Crumble and set aside. Keep the grease in the pan.
3. Season and sear chicken until golden. Remove and set aside.
4. Sauté garlic in the skillet over low heat until fragrant.
5. Add chicken broth and milk. Stir to deglaze the pan.
6. Add cream cheese. Cover and let soften, then whisk until smooth.
7. Add parmesan and simmer until sauce thickens. Season as needed.
8. Return chicken and bacon to the sauce. Add spaghetti and toss well.
9. Serve hot.
Notes
Use other pasta types like penne or fettuccine.
Add steamed vegetables like broccoli or spinach.
Rotisserie chicken is a great shortcut.
