Description
Creamy slow-cooked chicken in a savory garlic-herb sauce, served over tender angel hair pasta. A comforting and simple crock pot meal for busy nights.
Ingredients
1–2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
3 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup chicken broth
1 (0.7 oz) packet Italian salad dressing mix
16 oz angel hair pasta
Optional: parsley, Parmesan, cracked pepper
Instructions
1. Heat oil in a skillet and season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Sear chicken for 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and butter until smooth.
4. Add soup, garlic, broth, and dressing mix to the bowl. Whisk to combine.
5. Place chicken in crock pot and pour sauce mixture over top.
6. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours until chicken is fully cooked.
7. Boil pasta until al dente, then drain.
8. Serve chicken whole or shredded over pasta and garnish if desired.
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used for a richer flavor.
Add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for added nutrition.
Avoid using the high heat setting to keep the sauce from separating.
