Ingredients
5 chicken thighs, skin on, bone-in
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
Optional fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
2. Season evenly with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
3. Arrange chicken skin side up.
4. Sprinkle brown sugar over each piece.
5. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
6. Spoon sauce over chicken before serving.
Notes
Searing chicken first adds texture but is optional.
Remove lid near the end if sauce needs thickening.
