Description
Tropical Hawaiian Guava Cake with creamy frosting and sweet guava glaze.
Ingredients
1 box Strawberry Cake Mix
1 cup Guava Nectar
3 large Eggs
1/2 cup Coconut Oil melted
8 oz Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
8 oz Cool Whip thawed
2 1/2 cups Guava Nectar for glaze
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 cup Water
1 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes optional
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13 x 9 baking dish
2. Mix cake mix, guava nectar, eggs and coconut oil until smooth
3. Pour batter into pan and bake for 24 to 26 minutes
4. Cool cake completely
5. Beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla then fold in Cool Whip
6. Spread cream mixture over cooled cake and chill
7. Heat guava nectar and sugar in a saucepan
8. Whisk cornstarch and water together then add to guava mixture
9. Cook until glaze thickens then cool
10. Spread guava gel over cream layer and refrigerate before serving
