Description
These high-protein bagel bites are easy, chewy, and made without yeast. Using Greek yogurt dough and lean toppings, they’re perfect for meal prep or on-the-go snacks.
Ingredients
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, full-fat or low-fat)
1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ½ tsp salt)
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup cooked lean beef sausage, finely chopped
¼ cup chopped turkey ham
2 tablespoons tomato sauce (no sugar added)
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Mix yogurt and self-rising flour in a bowl until a dough forms.
2. Knead dough on a floured surface for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
3. Preheat oven to 375°F. Shape dough into a log and cut into 12 pieces. Flatten into rounds.
4. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add a small spoonful of tomato sauce to each.
5. Top with mozzarella cheese, sausage, and turkey ham.
6. Season with oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly.
8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving or storing.
Notes
Swap meat for vegetables or plant-based proteins if preferred.
Use dairy-free yogurt and cheese for a vegan version.
Reheat in an air fryer or toaster oven for the best texture.
