Quick and hearty halal friendly ground beef pasta soup ready in 20 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb lean halal ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
6 cups beef broth
14 oz diced tomatoes with juices
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon halal Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 whole bay leaf
1.75 cups uncooked macaroni
1.5 cups frozen mixed vegetables
Instructions
1. Brown ground beef and onion until cooked.
2. Drain excess fat.
3. Cook tomato paste briefly.
4. Add broth, tomatoes, and seasonings.
5. Simmer to develop flavor.
6. Add pasta and vegetables and cook until tender.
7. Remove bay leaf and serve warm.
Notes
Use lean beef to reduce grease.
Add pasta near the end to prevent overcooking.
Freeze without pasta for best texture.
