Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lb chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless, skin-on)

1 large onion, sliced into wedges

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tbsp minced garlic

12 tbsp freshly grated ginger

1 tsp olive oil

1 tsp sesame oil

¼ cup honey

¼ cup soy sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C).

2. Place chicken thighs and onion wedges in a baking dish.

3. Mix black pepper, garlic, ginger, olive oil, sesame oil, honey, and soy sauce in a bowl.

4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken and onions.

5. Bake for 25 minutes with chicken skin-side down.

6. Flip chicken pieces and bake for an additional 25 minutes until golden and tender.

7. Spoon thickened sauce over the chicken and garnish before serving.
