Description

Ingredients

2 cups cottage cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 large eggs

1 cup marinara or pizza sauce

1 teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup chopped bell peppers

½ cup sliced black olives

1 cup cooked sausage or pepperoni (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly coat a 9×9-inch baking dish with olive oil.

2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, Parmesan, and half the mozzarella. Add oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

4. Spoon marinara sauce over the top without stirring.

5. Layer bell peppers, olives, and sausage or pepperoni over the sauce.

6. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese and basil over the top.

7. Bake for 30 minutes, until the top is bubbly and golden.

8. Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for added browning.

9. Allow to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Use full-fat cottage cheese for best texture and flavor.

Make it vegetarian by skipping the meat or using mushrooms.
