Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2 teaspoons garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup marinara sauce

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Optional red pepper flakes, minced garlic, fresh oregano, sun-dried tomatoes


Instructions

1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Place chicken in slow cooker in a single layer.

3. Mix chicken broth, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.

4. Pour sauce over chicken.

5. Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.

6. During final 30 minutes, add mozzarella and Parmesan.

7. Cover and cook until cheese melts.

8. Let rest 10 minutes, garnish with basil, and serve.
