Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala Recipe features tender chicken breasts slowly cooked in a savory Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms and finished with cream for a comforting Italian inspired dinner.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup Marsala wine
8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper
2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant
3. Combine soy sauce, chicken broth, and Marsala wine
4. Place chicken in crockpot and pour sauce over it
5. Add mushrooms and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours
6. Stir in heavy cream before serving
Notes
Use dry Marsala wine for balanced flavor
Optional browning step adds deeper taste
Cremini mushrooms hold texture well
