Description

This hearty and simple slow cooker kielbasa with cabbage and potatoes delivers big flavor with minimal prep. A perfect comfort meal for any night of the week.


Ingredients

1.5 lbs baby potatoes

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

1/2 head green cabbage, chopped (about 56 cups)

2 tsp steak seasoning

14 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced into rounds

2 cups chicken broth

1 Tbsp chopped parsley (optional garnish)


Instructions

1. Chop onion and halve large potatoes, then place both in the slow cooker.

2. Add chopped cabbage and sprinkle with steak seasoning.

3. Slice kielbasa into rounds and spread evenly on top.

4. Pour chicken broth over the contents.

5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.

6. Stir the mixture to combine everything after cooking.

7. Season to taste and garnish with parsley if using.

Notes

Red or gold potatoes work best.

For extra flavor, brown sausage before adding.

Add carrots or bell peppers if desired.

Finish with a splash of vinegar to brighten the flavors.
