Creamy, golden hot chocolate infused with turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. This warming drink satisfies chocolate cravings while supporting your body with anti-inflammatory spices.
Ingredients
1½ tablespoons unsweetened cacao powder
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch black pepper
1 cup milk of choice (coconut, oat, almond, or dairy)
1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Add cacao powder, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper to a mug. Mix well.
2. Add 2 tablespoons milk and stir until a smooth paste forms.
3. Heat remaining milk until steaming but not boiling.
4. Pour ¼ cup hot milk into mug, whisking until smooth.
5. Gradually add the rest of the milk while whisking.
6. Stir in sweetener and vanilla if using.
7. Froth and serve immediately.
Notes
Add coconut oil for better absorption.
Use a milk frother for foam.
Rinse mug quickly to avoid turmeric stains.
