Strawberry Bread with Glaze is a moist homemade loaf filled with fresh strawberries and topped with a sweet strawberry glaze.
Ingredients
2½ cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup oil
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups fresh strawberries diced
2 tablespoons flour for coating
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup chopped strawberries
1 to 2 tablespoons heavy cream optional
Instructions
1. Combine dry ingredients.
2. Whisk wet ingredients until smooth.
3. Gently mix wet and dry together.
4. Coat strawberries with flour.
5. Fold strawberries into batter.
6. Bake at 350F for 50 to 60 minutes.
7. Cool completely.
8. Prepare glaze and drizzle over loaf.
Notes
Measure flour carefully.
Do not overmix batter.
Cool bread fully before glazing.
