Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Dry and season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil.
3. Place chicken in slow cooker in a single layer.
4. Pour sauce over the chicken, coating it evenly.
5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
6. Shred chicken using two forks.
7. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with sauce.
Notes
Use thighs instead of breasts for extra moisture.
Add onions or chili flakes for more flavor.
Serve with buns, tortillas, or over rice.
