These soft and naturally sweet potato cookies for babies and toddlers are an easy, nutritious snack. Made with only 5 wholesome ingredients like chickpeas, oats, and chia seeds, they’re perfect for baby-led weaning and toddler-friendly meals. No added sugar, freezer-friendly, and packed with fiber and vitamin A.
Ingredients
1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
1 cup (220g) cooked, mashed sweet potatoes (about 1 medium potato)
1/2 cup (70g) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons chia seeds
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Add oats to a blender and pulse into flour.
3. Add sweet potatoes, chickpeas, and cinnamon. Blend until smooth.
4. Stir in chia seeds.
5. Scoop batter onto parchment-lined baking sheet using a spoon or mini scoop.
6. Wet fingers and gently flatten cookies.
7. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
Batter is thick and sticky. Wet fingertips to flatten easily.
Avoid overbaking. Cookies should be soft.
Add banana, applesauce, or nut butter for variety.
Freeze for up to 3 months.
