Description
Crispy tuna melt patties with a cheesy center. These skillet-cooked patties are made in under 20 minutes using simple ingredients, making them a go-to option for quick lunches and dinners.
Ingredients
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 egg
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 tablespoon butter for pan
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix tuna, breadcrumbs, mayo, egg, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Add cheddar and green onions. Mix gently.
3. Shape mixture into 4-5 patties.
4. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
5. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
6. Optionally, top with cheese and broil for 1 minute.
7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
Panko breadcrumbs create extra crunch.
Chill patties before cooking to help them hold their shape.
