Description
This 5-Ingredient Pot Roast is a foolproof comfort meal made with pantry staples. It’s savory, tender, and packed with rich, buttery flavor — all with only five minutes of prep.
Ingredients
3-pound chuck roast
1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1/2 jar peperoncini peppers (about 8 to 10)
1/2 jar peperoncini juice
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Place the chuck roast in your slow cooker, fat side up.
2. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix evenly over the meat.
3. Sprinkle au jus gravy mix on top of the ranch.
4. Add peperoncini peppers around the roast and pour in half of their juice.
5. Place the stick of butter on top of the roast.
6. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
7. Shred with two forks and serve hot.
Notes
You can substitute chuck roast with brisket or round roast, but they may need a little extra cooking time.
Add carrots or baby potatoes during the last 2 hours for a full one-pot meal.
To cook in the oven, place everything in a Dutch oven at 300°F for 3 to 4 hours.
