Description
These Chili Cheese Dogs feature juicy hot dogs topped with homemade chili and melted cheese baked until hot and bubbly.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 cup beef stock
14 oz kidney beans
14 oz chopped tomatoes
1 red pepper
1 white onion
2 garlic cloves
1.5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
6 hot dogs
6 hot dog buns
3 cups shredded cheese
Instructions
1. Cook onion and red pepper until soft
2. Add garlic and cook briefly
3. Brown the ground beef thoroughly
4. Stir in tomato puree
5. Add tomatoes, stock, beans, and Worcestershire sauce
6. Season with spices and simmer until thick
7. Toast the hot dog buns lightly
8. Add cheese and hot dogs to buns
9. Top with chili and more cheese
10. Bake until cheese melts and becomes bubbly
