Classic homemade Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce with rich beef flavor and smooth diner-style texture.
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup beef stock
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Cook ground beef in a Dutch oven until browned
2. Break the beef into fine crumbles while cooking
3. Stir in beef stock and tomato paste
4. Add all remaining seasonings
5. Bring mixture to a gentle boil
6. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes
7. Stir occasionally until thickened
8. Serve warm over grilled hot dogs

Simmer uncovered to thicken naturally
