Description

Garlic Roasted Cauliflower is an easy oven baked side dish with crisp golden edges, tender centers, and bold garlic flavor. Olive oil, simple seasonings, and optional Parmesan and panko create a versatile vegetable recipe that is ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite sized florets

2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, roughly chopped, optional

2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese, optional

3 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

2. Wash the cauliflower and dry it thoroughly.

3. Cut the cauliflower into evenly sized florets.

4. Place the florets in a large mixing bowl.

5. Add the olive oil, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.

6. Toss until every floret is evenly coated.

7. Add the Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs if using.

8. Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

9. Roast for 20 minutes.

10. Flip the florets carefully.

11. Roast for another 5 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are tender.

12. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Dry the cauliflower well before roasting to encourage browning.

Leave space between the florets so they roast instead of steam.

Use a large baking sheet and avoid overcrowding.

Fresh garlic gives the strongest flavor, but garlic powder can work as a substitute.

Add smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, tahini sauce, or lemon yogurt sauce for variation.

Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheat in a hot oven or air fryer for the best texture.
