Description
Mini Chicago Style Hot Dogs are bite-sized appetizers made with cocktail sausages, biscuit dough, creamy mustard sauce, and classic Chicago-inspired toppings.
Ingredients
1 package cocktail sausages
1 can jumbo refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup yellow mustard
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons golden onion dry soup mix
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 egg
2 teaspoons celery salt
1/3 cup diced tomatoes
1/3 cup diced pickles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Cut each biscuit into four sections.
3. Wrap cocktail sausages loosely with biscuit dough.
4. Place wrapped sausages on a baking tray.
5. Brush tops with egg wash.
6. Sprinkle with poppy seeds.
7. Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown.
8. Mix mustard, mayonnaise, and onion soup mix together.
9. Combine diced tomatoes and pickles with celery salt.
10. Serve warm with toppings and mustard sauce.
Notes
Use all-beef sausages for authentic flavor.
Avoid wrapping the dough too tightly.
