Description

This homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer is smooth, rich, and full of cozy fall flavor. It combines whole milk, heavy cream, real pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon for an easy seasonal coffee creamer.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree

2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

1. Add the whole milk, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon sticks to a medium saucepan.

2. Whisk until the pumpkin puree is evenly blended into the dairy mixture.

3. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat.

4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer while whisking regularly.

5. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, making sure the mixture does not boil over.

6. Remove the saucepan from the heat.

7. Let the cinnamon sticks steep in the warm creamer for about 10 minutes.

8. Remove the cinnamon sticks.

9. Allow the creamer to cool completely.

10. Pour the cooled creamer into a clean mason jar or airtight container.

11. Refrigerate until ready to use.

12. Shake well before each serving.

Notes

Use pure pumpkin puree rather than pumpkin pie filling.

Do not boil the creamer aggressively because high heat can affect the smooth texture.

Shake well before each use because the pumpkin and spices may naturally settle.

Store the creamer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

The creamer can be frozen for up to 2 months in a freezer-safe container.

Leave room in the container for expansion if freezing.

Thaw frozen creamer overnight in the refrigerator.

Shake or whisk thoroughly after thawing to help restore the texture.

Use in hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, tea, chai, or hot chocolate.
