Description
Tender Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient BBQ Chicken Drumsticks coated in a sweet and smoky sticky barbecue glaze.
Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds chicken drumsticks
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
2. Mix the barbecue sauce and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Spread a thin layer of sauce in the slow cooker.
4. Arrange drumsticks in the slow cooker and coat with sauce.
5. Cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or HIGH for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
6. Transfer chicken to a plate and skim excess fat from the sauce.
7. Return drumsticks to the slow cooker and coat again in sauce.
8. Optional, broil for 3 to 5 minutes for caramelized edges.
9. Serve warm with extra sauce.
Notes
Use thick barbecue sauce for best results.
Broiling adds extra caramelization and texture.
Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
